Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging food technology lessons that align with curriculum standards and objectives.

  • Teach fundamental food technology concepts, including cooking techniques, nutrition, food safety, and food preparation.

  • Incorporate real-world examples and current food-related trends to demonstrate the relevance of food technology.
  • Organize and lead practical cooking sessions to enhance students’ understanding of food preparation and culinary arts.

  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving, and the development of culinary and food science skills.
  • Promote a strong understanding of food safety, nutrition, and sustainable food practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Culinary Arts, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Qualified Teaching Status
  • Teaching certification or license in food technology or related subjects.
  • Previous teaching experience in food technology, culinary arts, or related fields.
  • Strong knowledge of food technology concepts, culinary techniques, and food science.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Dedication to nurturing a passion for food technology and culinary arts in students.
  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and styles.
