Job description: Flourish Education are recruiting a Food Technology Teacher for a Secondary school based in South Birmingham. This Food Technology Teacher position is full-time starting as soon as possible and is a temporary to permanent contract for the right candidate. The duties of a Food Technology Teacher will involve teaching engaging and informative Food Technology lessons (theory and practical) across key stages 3 and 4. This role will include whole class responsibilities such as planning and marking, the ideal candidate will have good classroom management and strong subject knowledge. The ideal candidate will have excellent subject knowledge and will have strong behaviour and classroom management skills.
This Food Technology position is full-time starting immediately.
To apply to this Food Technology Teacher role, you will need the following.
QTS- Qualified Teacher status or (QTLS) in Food technology (ECT’s are encouraged to apply)
· Experience teaching in a UK Secondary School is essential.
· Excellent understanding of the Health and Social care and PE curriculum
· Able to teach Food technology up to key stage 4.
· A strong recent School reference.
· excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
Responsibilities as a Food Technology Teacher
· Whole class teaching responsibilities including planning and marking.
· Driving improvements in Food Technology GCSE grades
· Monitoring and ensuring pupil progress
· Improving Food Technology GCSE results
· Act as a Form Tutor
· Engage in faculty trips and learning outside of the classroom.
· Create an attractive and stimulating learning environment which is refreshed frequently.
⦁ Deliver Food technology theory and practical lessons across key stage 3 and 4.

· A competitive salary of up to £250 per day which equates to £48,750 based on working 5 days a week for the full school year.
