GSL Education South Yorkshire is looking for a Food Technology Teacher to undertake a position at one of our client Secondary schools. Food Technology Teacher Responsibilities:
- Delivering dynamic and interactive lessons for KS3, KS4 and KS5 that capture students’ imaginations and foster their passion for food technology.
- Incorporating theoretical aspects of food technology, including food science, nutrition, and hygiene, into your teaching.
- Collaborating with colleagues to develop innovative teaching materials and schemes of work that align with the national curriculum.
- Assessing and providing constructive feedback to students to aid their progress and achievement.
Food Technology Teacher Requirements:
- A teaching qualification, namely a PGCE or a B.Ed. with QTS in Food Technology or Hospitality/Catering/Food Science.
- Have recent experience teaching KS3 and KS4. Experience teaching KS5 is ideal but not essential.
- Passionate about teaching Food Technology along with a strong command of the subject
- Strong interpersonal skills and classroom behaviour management – although children are generally well behaved in the school.
- Are a committed and reflective professional who strives for continued improvement.
- Possess a clear and update to date DBS on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
