Job description: Main responsibilities:
- Work closely with the leadership team to help drive the business’s medium to long term financial and strategic plans
- Be responsible for all aspects of the company’s forecasting and budgeting processes
- Help define and provide insight around financial KPI’s and processes
- Track actual results against agreed budgets and reforecasts, identifying shortfalls and lead the process to develop opportunities for gap closure.
- Work closely with the commercial teams to provide analysis and support on new products, portfolio optimisation, pricing and discount decisions, margin management
- Work with operation teams to provide support on implementation and tracking of cost saving programmes, logistics, and working capital.
- Work closely with wider business to ensure the new ERP provides required functionality
- Lead, develop improved FP&A process & improved reporting
Our client has an impressive growth story, starting from scratch they are now an established and still growing FMCG business in London.
Reporting directly to the CFO, they need an FP&A Manager to support the company’s continued growth, driving better insight and commercial analysis, improving monthly reporting processes and providing the C-suite with a strong financial basis for decision making moving forward.
This is a highly visible role and represents a great opportunity to work directly with a CFO, commercial director and CEO, gaining exposure to key decision makers in a growing business.
Skills/experience needed:
- A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Have held a leading role in the forecasting and budget processes
- Good understanding of Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
- Ideally at 3 years industry experience, preferably in product-focused industries (e.g. retail, pharma, FMCG, manufacturing)
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills, able to explain complex challenges in simple terms to Senior Stakeholders and team members alike
- High level of commercial acumen with the ability to influence commercial decisions
- Critical thinker, can anticipate & provide scenarios for different problems
- Strong and proven ability to plan work, to ensure deadlines are met
