An exciting opportunity for a Fund Accounting, Assistant Manager to join a leading Investment firm. You will extensive experience in Fund Accounting or Financial Reporting. Proven track record of leading a team is essential.

Essential Skills/Experience:

  • Experience working within an Oversight team with experience in either Fund Accounting or Financial Reporting is essential
  • Experience of preparing and presenting papers to Boards
  • Working knowledge of Custody, TA, and Depositary/Responsible Entity functions is a requirement
  • Have a working knowledge of investment level taxes (capital gains/ transactions taxes/ withholdings taxes).
  • Ability to manage errors or issues effectively and efficiently, preparing impact assessments and incident reports as required.
  • Strong relationship management skills, ability to develop relationships with stakeholders at all levels, internal and external

Core Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the management of all aspects of the team tasks
  • Provide effective management and leadership of any direct and indirect reports
  • Work closely with auditors, depositary, third party administrators and other external parties to ensure service engagement and delivery is of a high standard
  • Support manager in presenting to and answering queries from regulators, Boards, committees, senior management, and other stakeholders as required.
  • Working with manager to review and test the team’s policies and procedures
  • Ensure appropriate policies, procedures and oversight controls are fit for purpose and in place, which allow the correct calculation of NAV by the administrator and accurate reporting to clients.
  • Work with the manager and key stakeholders to ensure the procedures in place for connected party transactions are sufficient and information is provided as expected.
  • Co-ordinating with the administrator and the auditor so that financial statements are produced, audited, approved by the Board, and filed within the relevant timeframes.
  • Participate in due diligence review and visits where required to ensure that the controls of the third parties involved in the following functions are operating in line with regulatory requirements
