Job description: We are looking for a Commercial Property Associate to join our successful and highly regarded Energy, Projects, Infrastructure, and Construction (EPIC) team in Bristol. This is a superb opportunity for an ambitious and motivated individual to play a key role within the clean and renewable energy space. The Energy, Projects, Infrastructure, and Construction (EPIC) team at Foot Anstey, which is ranked and recommended in the inaugural Legal 500 Green Guide UK, has huge experience in the renewable / clean energy field and are recognised leaders in the industry.
What you’ll do
In this challenging and varied role, you will play a crucial position in growing and developing the Future Energy sector. You will be working primarily in the renewable energy sector and will be supporting on matters directly in collaboration with our team’s Partners and Legal Directors as well as running your own files. Your focus will be to deliver exceptional client service, working with colleagues to strengthen the skills needed at each level to ensure our clients receive all the support they need, when they need it.
You will be advising our developer, owner-operator, funder and investor clients in the energy sector on solar, storage, EV infrastructure and other renewable and clean energy projects, ensuring work is being done at the right level and with client service central to everything you do. With an understanding of what their commercial drivers are, working alongside our clients and tailoring your approach to their commercial goals.
You will be experienced in developing strong and effective relationships, offering commercially relevant and practical advice from the outset. Working with us, you will encounter a broad range of energy and infrastructure property work, acting for a range of well-known, high-profile clients on large and nationally significant energy and infrastructure transactions.
What we’re looking for
The successful candidate will ideally have gained experience in commercial property with a large regional or national practice as well as previous exposure with commercial property work on energy and infrastructure projects, including knowing their way around the sector-specialist elements of an option, lease, and renewable energy development. We’re seeking someone who is personally self-motivated and equally able to motivate others; with the enthusiasm and commitment to share knowledge and build capacity across the wider team.
In your current work, you will enjoy engaging with your clients growing your relationship as a trusted business advisor. You do this by readily understanding the commercial context of your clients and the nuances and influences which shape the sector. In return, you will be fully encouraged, supported, and resourced to be successful in growing your skill set and practice, complementing the considerable skills across the sector team. You’ll be keen to progress, and we will work with you to ensure you realise your potential by agreeing realistic and achievable goals which will get you to where you want to go.
