Job description: I am working on behalf of a top tier Financial Services firm, who are seeking to add a Global Head of Security Operations to their Security function.In this role, you will have autonomy over the end-to-end cycle of the SOC, from driving the development of the SOC to managing the SOC across the firm’s global business. You will actively help to support in the continuation of the safeguarding of the firm’s cyber security posture.This role will entail:
- Acting as the primary individual and 24/7 escalation for the SOC.
- SOC supervision from monitoring, triaging to threat hunting and incident response.
- Ensure continuous improvement of the follow the sun model.
- Leadership, you will be managing a global team across different geographical verticals.
- Cross collaboration, with other Sec teams particularly the architecture team where you will for research, and ensuring the firm stays ahead of possible emerging global threats.
You will already possess experience in the following:
- Global SOC environment experience
- Monitoring tools
- A background in financial services or stringent regulated environment is preferred.
- Leadership experience, whether that is dealing with c-suite individuals or managing a global team.
This is a hybrid role (1 day a week either in Bristol or Edinburgh, but there is an option to work remote if that is already your current working arrangement).For immediate consideration, please contact pg@barclaysimpson.com
Expected salary: £100000 – 120000 per year
