Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Siemens Industry Software has a new opportunity for one Intern to join us on a 13-month paid placement starting in July 2024 to support our Global Team.
The Global Sales Planning Support Intern will be based in one of our UK offices Monday to Friday.
This position is an exciting chance for someone to network frequently between senior business leaders, the Siemens worldwide organization and supporting the execution of our go-to-market strategy.
What you will be doing:
- Supporting internal planning projects as needed.
- Gathering, reporting and structuring of market analysis and/or company data.
- Data analysis using Tableau, Excel and/similar tools.
- Advanced Analytics using Machine Learning/AI
- Provide automation suggestions for Excel and Salesforce.com to streamline the current tools and data accuracy.
- Manage and drive projects to completion.
- Manage, maintain and update current Planning dashboards.
What you will bring:
- Advanced Excel skills including functions and Power Query. Visual Basic is a plus.
- Strong interest in data analytics.
- Data preparation and visualization using Tableau, Qlikview or other reporting tools is a plus.
- Driven and proactive/ self-starting attitude.
- Ability to work with minimal direct supervision.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good organisation and time management skills.
- Willingness and interest to understand and solve business problems.
- Eagerness and ability to learn new software and tools.
- Currently studying a numerical/scientific degree would be a plus.
- Understanding of Software Sales and/or Software companies would be a plus.
