Job description: As a Graphic Designer, at Sodexo in Shell, Silver Fin, Aberdeen, you will work within the Graphic Design and Print Services division of the Facilities Management team within Shell U.K. providing a 5 star service to our Clients. What you will do:

  • Deliver creative, effective, best-value communication material that meets agreed expectations, to guide and advise Shell clients on media solutions and services.
  • Actively promote the adoption and use of smart-working techniques and methods including e-delivery of information and latest GD&P services technologies.
  • Provide services in graphic design, visual communication, DTP, technical illustrations and multi-media, management and provision of Shell information.
  • Provide support to Shell clients in the areas of (conceptual) graphic design / communications and DTP, emphasis on technical content
  • Advise Shell customers on the different options for publishing information; responsibility for the whole lifecycle of a project
  • Ensure work is carried out in accordance with Graphic Design & Print Services business best practices and any appropriate Shell policies, procedures and Brand guidelines;
  • Agree expectations of creativity and service quality
  • Advise on the creation and / or improvement of existing Work Instructions (WIs) as work demands, maintaining work plan utilising work planning software for ongoing and planned jobs.
  • Comply with Shell’s on-site Health & Safety policies.

What you bring:

  • A recognised qualification in a Graphic / Art / Design / Visual Communication or related subject.
  • Relevant experience in the professional design environment.
  • Proven track record of providing graphic communication solutions.
  • Knowledge on the Oil & Gas Industry.
  • Ability to project manage a wide range of jobs from conception through to delivery.
  • Proven commercial awareness to make best value decisions.
  • Produce and provide cost estimates and cost planning (In co-operation with project leaders).
  • A creative, delivery focussed team player with excellent design and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to design in relation to marketing / communication.
  • Ability to work independently and multi task within project delivery.
