Job Title: Group Finance – Contract Role
Location: London ( 1 to 2 days in office)
Contract Type: 6 months
Rate: 400pd inside IR35 Via umbrella engagment only
Job Details: This exciting opportunity involves actively contributing to the year-end close process, consolidation, and reporting at the group level. The successful candidate will gain significant exposure to senior stakeholders across the Group and in the UK and Continental Europe.
Key Responsibilities: * Collaborate closely with Finance teams across the Group and other stakeholders in the UK and Continental Europe.
- Facilitate the weekly, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes for Group accounts, collaborating with teams throughout the organization.
- Plan and execute the accurate and timely preparation of assigned notes in the annual financial statements for Group entities.
- Review and challenge reporting submissions from Group entities, preparing insightful reports on their results and financial positions.
- Undertake core finance operations, including transactional processing, ledger maintenance, reporting, and compliance activities.
- Engage regularly with the centre of excellence on record-to-close and close-to-reporting processes.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, such as auditors, consultants, bankers, regulators, and other third parties.
- Drive continuous improvement and standardization of processes and controls, implementing best practices and automation initiatives.
- Undertake all necessary reporting required by Group Finance.
Successful Candidates Will Have: * Qualified accountant with a strong background in UK GAAP.
- Good accounting knowledge and a keen eye for detail.
- High integrity, independence, and accountability.
- Superior organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently.
- Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in communicating at all levels of the business.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience working collaboratively with teams across the Group (UK and Europe).
- Demonstrated ability to establish best-in-class processes and procedures.
