Job Description
As the Head of Digital Marketing, you will lead planning, implementation, measurement, and continuous improvement of marketing across the PRI’s digital channels, including web, email and social media. You will work collaboratively with other members of the marketing team and PRI stakeholders to develop and implement strategies aligned with organisational goals.
You will maintain awareness of new marketing technologies and best practices, identifying and implementing as appropriate. As appropriate, you will establish and manage relationships with external digital marketing service providers and advertising agencies to support content creation and marketing delivery.
Core Responsibilities:
Line manage and develop the digital marketing team – including a web editor, digital communications manager and digital communications associate
Support the Director of Marketing in delivering to the team’s business plan and budget
Provide regular reporting to the Director of Marketing; Director, Marketing & Signatory Experience; and Chief Operating Officer, as required
Develop and execute digital marketing strategy, working with key stakeholders in marketing and other related PRI teams to maintain alignment with organisational goals
Effectively align digital marketing with the work of adjacent brand marketing (including design), corporate communication, product marketing, external affairs, the CEO’s office, and the PRI’s regional teams
Across the PRI’s digital channels (including website, email, and social media):
Plan, implement and enhance our marketing activity
Introduce, maintain and enhance appropriate measurement and reporting
Understand audience behaviour, content interests and preferences
Understand marketing performance and enable data-informed improvement (including testing and validation)
Support continuous improvement of signatory and stakeholder experience and engagement
Play an active role in the development and delivery of all PRI communications regular marketing and related team meetings
Ensure the consistent and effective management of all digital aspects of the PRI’s external communications calendar
Support the holistic development and maintenance of the PRI’s digital channels to deliver great signatory experience, engagement and marketing performance
Work closely with the PRI’s IT team to support the development (in 2024) and ongoing maintenance of the main PRI website ( ), ensuring the needs of our signatories and stakeholders are effectively considered
Establish and manage relationships with advertising agencies or other outside vendors providing platforms, tools and content to enhance our digital marketing
Identify and implement appropriate new technologies for use across digital marketing
Support the development of a coherent content strategy across the PRI’s digital channels
Develop and implement targeted campaigns for signatory and stakeholder engagement and new signatory acquisition
Person Specification
Proven track record in international/global B2B digital marketing across web, email and social media channels
Experience of marketing in ESG and/or investment ecosystems is preferred, ideally in the context of a content rich service provider and/or membership organisation
Proficiency in copy-writing/editing marketing communications for professional audiences
Demonstrable awareness and experience of marketing best practice and implementation
Hands-on experience with marketing technology including website CMS (e.g. WordPress or Webvision); LinkedIn (preferably including Sales Navigator); social media tools (e.g. Hootsuite); email platform (ideally Marketing Cloud); webinars; podcasts; etc
Experience introducing, implementing and developing effective use of wide-ranging marketing tools and technology is highly desirable
Well-developed people management skills, including leading and developing high-performing digital marketing teams
Demonstrable commitment to developing others and a growth mindset, actively pursuing continuous professional and personal development
A collaborative and consultative approach to working with others & commitment to fostering an inclusive environment locally and across colleagues globally
Excellent networking, relationship management and interpersonal skills and experience of building strong and productive relationships at a senior level
Excellent written communication and verbal presentation skills
IT/Digital skills including Microsoft Office (particularly Teams, Word, PowerPoint and Excel), project management (Asana or similar), CRM (preferably Salesforce)
Very good programme management skills, with experience in delivering complex projects successfully, including directing others that may not be your direct reports
As this is a global role, international travel may be required from time to time, including to our annual PRI in Person event (most recently hosted in Tokyo, Barcelona and Paris)
Language skills, other than English, are desirable
