Our well respected, talented and highly experienced Finance Team is looking for a natural and enthusiastic leader to join them at a time of significant growth and change. As the Head of Accounting and Reporting you’ll have a broad remit of responsibilities with a key focus on the quality of the regulatory, management, tax and statutory reporting. You will work closely with our amazing CFO, Head of Planning and Controlling and the regional team to drive a strong financial control environment across the two business units and steer the strategic direction of the function.
By overseeing the finance function you’ll ensure accurate and timely regulatory, management, tax and statutory reporting, lead the oversight and review of the financial control environment across both business units and own and manage the relationship with auditors. You will ensure the consistency and appropriateness in accounting methods and the respect of accounting requirements, lead compliance with the business’s internal corporate and finance rules book and drive complex accounting topics across the two business units. You will also have the opportunity to support implementation of Global initiatives at legal entity level, and support and locally drive transformation as required by the Company´s strategy.
What we’re looking for:
- You will have strong technical accounting expertise (IFRS and UK GAAP)
- You must have strong insurance/banking experience, including SII reporting
- You will be pro-active and not afraid to challenge the status quo
- You must have team management and development experience
- You will have the ability to influence and lead others
- You must be able to focus on timely delivery of quality outputs
- You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ideally have change management experience
Qualifications:
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified;
Hours:
Thirty-five hours a week. However, flexibility will be required in line with the needs of the business.
