Acre has partnered with one of the world’s leading media agencies to seek a Head of Carbon Consulting. This is a newly created role for a carbon expert to partner with global client leaders and strategists to develop, commercialise and launch this newly created service.
The Head of Carbon Consulting will be instrumental in bringing a client-centric approach to the evolution of this new service. This role will have a primary focus on the media space, but will look for opportunities to drive an integrated carbon offering across the wider practice and business.
Key Accountabilities:
Function as the leading subject matter expert and innovator on sustainability and social impact issues for the business’s leadership team and clients.
Drives the global strategy with regards to media decarbonisation in partnership with multiple regions and product development team
Commercialise programmes and platforms with global clients that enable positive change and drive delivery of the group KPI’s, and ensure media remains competitive in the market.
Collaborate with commercial teams to downstream innovation into market offerings.
Provides carbon expertise to drive thought leadership into the media supply chain.
You will join a global business with 60,000 people. Along the way, you’ll team up with inspiring colleagues and encounter a richness of clients, cultures and experiences. You will work closely with the regional Chief Sustainability Officers, sharing best practices from the execution of plans with global clients to drive new commercial opportunities in markets.
Professional Skills:
Extensive experience in sustainability or related role.
Subject matter expert on decarbonisation within supply chains
Working knowledge of how media is planned and bought
Sustainability Strategy – In-depth knowledge of sustainability and related disciplines as well as relevant frameworks and policies e.g., the UN Sustainable Development Goals, UN Global Compact, Greenhouse Gas Protocol, TCFD etc.
Innovative Solutions – Experience advising clients, for example, in related consultancy, and creating solutions / new models with a growth mindset.
Commercial awareness – including an understanding of the market, competitors, technology and the sustainable operating results required. Expertise in procurement and supply chain management desirable.
