As our Head of Cyber Security, you will be responsible for ensuring the security of our systems and data and for protecting our employee and customers’ information. You will be responsible for developing and implementing our cyber security strategy and for ensuring that we comply with all relevant regulations. You will be a trusted SME but also advisor to the Leadership community and be readily available should the need arise to get hands-on in the successful resolution to any incident.

What you’ll be doing

  • Defining and refining the company’s cyber security strategy, policies, and procedures. This encompasses incident response, internal exercise design and execution and cultivating relationships with crucial third-party entities. Additionally, ensuring the company’s compliance with various regulations such as the NIS Regulations, CAA’s Cyber Security Oversight Process, PCI-DSS and GDPR.
  • Overseeing the team’s training and preparedness to address cyber threats. Collaborating with various departments identifying ways to proactively mitigate cyber risks throughout the organisation. Additionally, oversee the continuous monitoring of the company’s systems and data for potential cyber threats, promptly responding to and managing incidents as they arise.
  • Consistently deliver to senior management the comprehensive reports and briefings concerning the company’s cyber security stance. This will include regular updates to the Board of Directors, detailing current and past issues, while also serving as a strategic advisor for future cybersecurity strategies. Staying abreast of the latest trends and incidents, you’ll actively engage in networking with essential industry stakeholders, including government bodies, industry peers, insurance entities and cyber security groups.

What you’ll have

  • Cyber Security Leadership: Demonstrated leadership in Cyber Security, including incident response and coordination of multiple teams, with experience in enterprise-scale businesses, especially in e-commerce B2C platforms.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of data protection and privacy regulations, including GDPR and PCI, as well as proficiency in regulated cyber assurance frameworks such as critical infrastructure and ISO27001. Familiarity with the regulatory framework for UK-based airlines, including CAA and/or DFT.
  • Best Practices and Communication: Strong understanding of cyber security best practices and standards, coupled with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Relevant certifications in cyber security and a proven track record in a leadership role.
