** You MUST have a minimum 2 years experience as Hotel Operations Manager/Hotel Deputy Manager/Food & Beverage Services Manager with strong multi-outlet, events and banqueting experience in a busy branded hotel to be considered. With this being a new opening, pre-openings experience would be advantageous. Due to the level of experience required, first appointments will not be considered for this role. **
Our client, a large stylish hotel operation, is looking for a highly-experienced, hands-on, personable and passionate Food and Beverage Services Manager to assist in the running of their exciting new property opening in South Yorkshire. With stylish rooms, chic interiors, a stunning food and beverage operation, multi-functional conference and events spaces, not to forget amazing facilities, this property will certainly be the talk of the region and will generate a large buzz as the new addition to the leading hotel market.
As this is a hands-on role, you will need to enjoy the buzz of leading a busy and quality food, beverage and events operation leading from the front whilst motivating and getting the best out of the team. You will have very strong leadership and management skills, have a good business/financial acumen and as a strong motivator be able to get the most out of your team at all times. Not only you will be fully responsible for day-to-day management of the operation; you will also be the face of the business and therefore personality is key!
The role:
To join the team from pre-launch of the concept, assist with recruitment, training, procurement, planning and execution of the Food & Beverage operation. To manage the day-to-day Food & Beverage department ongoing, leading and directing your team, including Restaurant Manager and Bar Manager. Ensuring your team can deliver the ultimate guest experience and setting the highest standards for services, including breakfast / lunch / afternoon tea and dinner. Responsible for all business controls, including Stock, Labour and general Expenditure, working to budgets and sale forecasts. Promoting a strong communication between departments and maintaining brand standards. Working closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure a fantastic food offering is delivered. Working closely with marketing to promote and drive custom.
The Candidate we are looking for:
2+ years minimum Hotel Operations Manager/Deputy General Manager/Food and Beverage Services Manager experience A passionate and experienced hospitality professional who can bring a real presence to the guests and who has a genuine love for people and service. High quality background preferred; you will have ideally worked in a busy branded hotel operation. A natural leader of people, ability to inspire, motivate and train a team Experience of Financial accountability for your department, managing rotas/labour costs. Stock control and expenditure.
