Job description: Resourcery Group are working with a leading Not for Profit organisation based in Lancashire who are looking to attract a Head of Group Accounting. Easily commutable from Blackpool, Preston, Chorley, Blackburn, Burnley etc.The successful Head of Group Accounting will join the Senior Leadership team and work in collaboration with the wider organisation. Managing 4 direct reports and working in a well versed and respected wider finance team you will add value and continue to strive to make improvements.Key Responsibilities:As the Head of Group Accounting, you will have:
- Full responsibility over the financial accounting function,
- Oversee the preparation of statutory financial statements for the organisation as well as for all subsidiary companies;
- Take the lead on the organization’s engagement with external audit functions,
- Oversee, manage and implement financial controls.
- Deliver the implementation, development, and maintenance of Financial Regulations for the group;
- Direct the development of finance information systems, ensuring that the information and processing needs of organization are met. Pro actively look at continuous improvement in processes, automation and system functionality
Key Requirements:You will hold a professional accountancy qualification such as CIMA, ACA, ACCA, CIPFAExtensive experience leading and managing financial teams and overseeing audit and compliance processes.Experience of working within a complex multi-faceted organizationExperience in systems improvements and process implementation.Strong technical background with the ability to partner across the wider organization with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders.Excellent leadership skills, and the ability to motivate, galvanize and develop a finance team.What’s on offer:£68,000-£72,00030 days annual leave plus bank holidaysSubsidized parkingDefined pension contributionLong term career opportunitiesMembership subscriptionHybrid working model – approx. 3 days per week on site
Expected salary: £72000 per year
Location: Preston
