Job description: Head of Legal | International Fintech Business | BirminghamAs a result of their continued growth, this international Fintech business is seeking an experienced Head of Legal to lead their high-performing in-house legal team. Reporting into the CFO, you will take charge of their legal and compliance team, working closely with the senior leadership team, sales, finance and their customers.The BusinessHaving built up an impressive client base over the last 25 years, they are showing no signs of slowing down. The uniqueness of their software platform is designed to cater for each of their client’s needs, empowering them to stay one-step ahead of the FS market.The RoleLeading a team of 3 legal professionals, you will serve as the head of legal for this international organisation. Your responsibilities will include providing high-level counsel to the C-suite, as well as working with the finance, sales and customer teams. You will oversee a broad spectrum of legal matters, including commercial agreements (SaaS, customer and supplier contracts etc), Corporate (re-financing & M&A), corporate governance, insurance, general transactional and finance activities.In addition, you will manage the data governance and regulatory compliance programme, as well as establishing and maintaining relationships with various internal and external stakeholders.RequirementsA minimum 7 years PQEExperience with SaaS contracts + experience in the Financial Services industry (Fintech, Insurance, Banking etc)A commercial mindset with the ability to lead a high-performing in-house legal teamBenefitsBonusHybrid/Flexi working, Private Medical, Life Assurance and much moreIf you are an experienced Commercial lawyer looking for a challenging in-house role – this could be a great fit for you.
