As a Head of Logistics, this is an opportunity to run a successful logistics operation whilst designing and delivering strategy for an area that’s about to grow significantly. The logistics function supports products in enviable demand, with production about to be upscaled through significant investment and expansion. You will champion the team and processes to allow this; providing a logistics function that delivers product to keep the nation safe.

You’ll be modernising, developing and implementing a best-in-class logistics process that enables efficiency, transparency and traceability.

As our Head of Logistics, you’ll be comfortable collaborating with other Heads of Functions and Assistant Directors to set strategic objectives and lead your team to deliver.

The Key Requirements…

  • Demonstrable ability to lead a team to deliver a logistics function, with as commitment to showcase excellence;
  • Previous experience in developing and implementing logistics processes that ensure all imports/exports are compliant; preferably within a Defence environment;
  • Previous experience implementing a new ERP system;
  • Capable of implementing a logistics training and internal audit programme;
  • A background in developing and managing bespoke infrastructure for logistics facilities;
  • Able to showcase an ability to develop the team around you, helping to motivate your team and provide professional development for your direct reports.

Where you’ll work…

Alongside hybrid and flexible working options, you’ll find our Romsey site located within beautiful Hampshire countryside, close to the picturesque New Forest District and not far from a superb stretch of the south coast. This is no corporate concrete jungle; this is a manor house site, with ample parking an on-site gym and a driveway full of daffodils in the spring.

Clearances…

Due to the nature of this role, we require you to be eligible to achieve SC clearance. As a result, you should be a British Citizen and have resided in the U.K. for the last 5 years.
