Job description: The Role
As the Head of Paid Media, your primary goal is to strategically plan, execute, and optimise paid media campaigns to drive targeted and measurable results, maximising return on investment (ROI) at Pretty Little Thing. You will lead a team of Paid Search, Paid Social and Affiliate experts and align all paid media efforts with the broader marketing and business objectives.

What you’ll be doing
· Lead our large Paid Media team – a collection of Paid Search, Paid Social and Affiliate Marketing specialists who manage activity across 7 international markets
· Lead our Paid Media strategy, ensuring that we continue to evolve our proposition and remain at the forefront of Digital advertising
· Own results. Critically assess weekly reports and regularly identify opportunities to optimise activity in line with business objectives
· Work with your Director (line manager) and wider senior stakeholders to ensure that the Paid Media strategy is reflective of the latest business objectives
· Be proactive. Spot opportunities and implement trials. Promote test and learn agendas across the team
· Present strategies, results and opportunities to senior management on a regular basis. Be comfortable dealing with challenge and requesting additional resources when needed
· Lead strategic relationships with all key media owners and tech partners. Work closely with them at a senior level to ensure that we follow best practice and receive maximum value from partners
· Own tech stack management within the Digital team, making recommendations on which partners we use in order to maximise our proposition and results
· Work closely with the wider Marketing Leadership Team to ensure that strategies and plans are fully aligned across all marketing channels and customer touchpoints
· Build strong relationships with other internal teams such as Business Intelligence, IT, Marketing, Trading and Studio
· Work closely with peers across the wider Boohoo Group to share learnings, develop group-wide approaches, negotiate commercial deals etc.
· Total responsibility for spend management and performance reporting of the Paid Media team
· Responsibility for the performance management and development of the team, ensuring that we have a high-performing, motivated team
· Use competitor analysis and 3rd party data to benchmark our performance and influence our future strategy
Skills and Experience
· Significant experience in Paid Media. Extensive knowledge of Paid Search and Paid Social is essential. Affiliate experience is desired.
· Demonstrable experience of managing mid-large teams and developing teams over time
· A strategic mind, capable of long-term planning and spotting opportunities
· A commercial mindset, capable of translating business goals into marketing strategies
· A ‘can do’ attitude, with a drive to do better
· The ability to build strong, effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
· A keen understanding of wider marketing channels and how they fit into the full consumer journey
· Experience in presenting strategy and results to senior stakeholders
· Strong analytical skills with an ability to draw insights from large data sets
· A good technical understanding
· Excellent knowledge of excel; comfortable in producing complex reports, formulas and pivot tables
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills
