About the Job

The Head of Student Services, reporting to the Chief Academic Officer, oversees non-academic aspects of Student Support & Welfare. Responsibilities include leading a diverse team, implementing innovative technologies, and fostering partnerships for enhanced support services. The role encompasses crisis management, proactive welfare services, regulatory compliance, and alumni engagement. The ideal candidate must be available during busy periods and weekends, with limited leave during peak times. 

About You

The ideal candidate for the Head of Student Services position should have an essential undergraduate degree, with a desirable postgraduate diploma/degree in marketing or education. Essential experience includes leadership in student support services, strategic change, and comprehensive knowledge of UK Higher Education policies. Desirable qualifications encompass hands-on experience with emerging technologies, non-traditional higher education, and previous roles in private HE establishments. Critical skills involve understanding widening participation, market research, data analysis, relationship management, planning, and proficiency in marketing-related software. Behavioural attributes should include strong leadership, adaptability, high ethical standards, resilience, and alignment with the college’s core values.
