Job description: INTERNAL NHS FIFE APPLICANTS ONLYReporting to the Divisional Head of Health Records and working as a member of the Digital and Information Health Records Team, this is an excellent opportunity for a self-motivated manager with a proven record in leading teams through development and change. This is an excellent opportunity to lead and support the development of the Health Records service and the implementation of the Electronic Health Record.NHS Fife serves a population of approximately 374,000, through the provision of a comprehensive range of Acute, Mental Health and Community Care services. The role offers a unique and rewarding career, working closely with health care professionals you will be responsible for the ongoing development of all aspects of health records management for the acute services division.The Health Records Outpatient service is responsible for circa 90 staff working across multiple acute sites and each year is responsible for around 200,000 new referrals and 470,000 return appointments per annum. The post involves working with a range of senior stakeholders, colleagues within Digital and Information and the Acute Services Division.You must be able to demonstrate significant experience in Health Records, including skills in staff management & development, financial management, Waiting Times management plus demonstrate a sound knowledge of the benefits associated with digitising the health record. You will recognise the benefits of collaborative working, possess a strong work ethic, and demonstrate strong communication, negotiation, leadership, and organisational skills. You will have the knowledge, skills and competencies typically gathered during the performance of a similar role or have the varied experience and demonstrable competencies for this post. This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff. This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours. However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
