What will you do?

Lendlease Consulting focuses on the Client representative services of Project Management, Cost Management, Project Controls and Principal Designer Advisor. The Consulting group at Lendlease has a proven track record of delivering a high-quality bespoke service at every stage of the project life cycle.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of the Client’s (LUL/TfL) Safety Management systems
  • Maintain working relationships with London Underground stakeholders including London Fire Brigade (LFB), Tube Management and potentially British Transport Police (BTP).
  • Working knowledge and experience in applying the TfL QUENCH Management Systems for LU
  • Provide effective support and guidance to the project team in compliance with the LUL Safety procedures and processes for compliance to H&S
  • Set up and maintain regular Safety, Health, Environmental Leadership Team (SHELT) meetings, (minimum monthly)
  • Attendance at the Consulting SHELT, when required
  • Lead and partake in Lessons learnt and best practice sharing where relevant to the QMS
  • Carry out Site visits, Inspections and Audits as defined by the Design status or works programme

You will bring

Skills

  • Understanding of the technical impacts of the relevant subject matter.
  • Ability to advise on technical matters
  • Identify relationships needed for technical areas less proficient in

Qualifications

  • NVQ Level 3 in Construction related H&S qualification
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate
  • GRAD IOSH or equivalent

Knowledge

  • Working knowledge of LUL Safety Management Systems
  • Working understanding of ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001 Management systems standards
  • Ability to coach team members and project teams

Experience

  • Extensive experience in LUL/NR Safety Management Systems
  • Experience in developing H&S Processes and procedures
  • Major programme experience with the rail and/or other infrastructure sectors
  • Ability to influence senior management to assist with continuous improvement.
  • Leadership skills, ability to take charge of a situation
