Position

An opportunity has arisen for a Healthcare Assistant within the gynaecology inpatient ward based within Ayrshire Maternity Unit, University Hospital Crosshouse.

What you will do:

As Healthcare Assistant, you will carry out assigned workload involving direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse within Gynaecology Services.

You will be required to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, within the Gynaecology Department which includes Gynaecology Ward; Gynaecology clinics at Ayrshire Central and Outpatient Gynaecology and Women’s Health within AMU.

Under the supervision of a registered nurse, you will provide specialist gynaecology services for the women of Ayrshire, ensuring the patient’s emotional and mental wellbeing both during and after intimate examination, giving careful and full consideration to confidentiality and health and safety matters

Knowledge, training and/or experience required to do the job:

You should have an SVQ III in a relevant healthcare topic or equivalent, with relevant experience within a healthcare setting.

33.75 hours per week over 7 days.
