Job description: NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde is one of the largest healthcare systems in the UK employing around 40,000 staff in a wide range of clinical and non-clinical professions and job roles. The shift pattern is Monday-Sunday 11.55 hours day and night shifts (30 hours).

(Please note the salary is Pro Rata) for part time hours.

This is a rotational post which will involve working throughout all departments within the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital Maternity including Triage, Day Care, Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, Labour Ward and Maternity theatres, and the ante natal and postnatal wards and will involve working days/ nights and 7.5hr and 11.55 hr shift patterns.

The post-holder will support the senior charge midwife and midwives within the departments in the delivery of safe and effective standards of care. The post-holder’s main duties will include maintaining HEI infection control standards in accordance with Policy through cleaning and maintaining a safe clinical environment, supporting women and their families throughout their pregnancy and birth experience.

Previous experience working in a NHS setting is essential and previous maternity experience is desirable
