Job description: Do you have experience working as a Health and Safety Advisor within the civil engineering industry?Are you looking for your next position working on a unique and interesting project?We are seeking a Health and Safety Advisor with relevant experience to work for a civil engineering contractor covering projects across the South of England.As health and safety advisor, you will conduct risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend control measures. You will provide health and safety training to ensure workers have the necessary knowledge and skills. Regular site inspections and audits will be carried out to proactively identify dangerous conditions and unsafe practices. You will advise management on compliance with health and safety laws and regulations. As an advisor you will report regularly to management and promote a strong safety culture across the workforce through leadership, communication and motivation.Key ResponsibilitiesDeveloping and implement health and safety best practices, ensuring compliance with legislationMaintaining safe systems of work and a safe environment for all employeesConducting new starter inductions, identifying training needsOrganising regular safety meetings, audits and inspectionsInvestigating accidents and near misses, identifying causes and preventative actionsRecording keeping and metrics reporting to track health and safety performanceActing as a safety ambassador, leading by example to motivate safe behavioursThe ideal candidate will have:NEBOSH certificateExcellent verbal, written and presentation communication skillsAble to display experience in a similar role, preferably in civil engineering or constructionDrivers LicenceCSCSIf this is of interest then please submit a copy of your CV.Aldwych Consulting values diversity and promotes equality.
