Role Purpose

The job holder is responsible for the delivery /collection of stock airside. There is a requirement to carry out warehouse duties and loading and unloading is required.We are looking for a hardworking, enthusiastic person who can work in a busy energetic environment. Working on a shift pattern, you will be required to remove and replenish airline amenities. A good eye for detail and the ability to work under pressure are essential. You will always comply with company procedures and health and safety standards. The ideal candidate should have minimum of 1 years’ experience driving Heavy Goods Vehicles in the airside environment. You will have the appropriate DVLA licence or a company “Certificate of Competence” (COC). Alternatively, you may have experience of driving 7.5 tonne vehicles on public roads. You should be a professional driver who operates in a manner that keeps the airport environment clean and safe.

What you will be doing

• Check vehicle for damage and faults.

• Load and unload vehicles.
• Carry out (and receive) daily deliveries to London Heathrow for associated airlines
• Carry out cargo collections and carry out daily stock controls
• Collect blankets, duvets, mattresses and replace with new ones.
• Ensure all security checks are complete
• Dispose of rubbish in the correct Grundon bins

What we are looking for

• Flexible and service minded.
• Full DVLA category B driving licence.
• Either H.G.V class 2 or 1, or experience in driving LGV Vehicles airside or on public roads (Evidence required) Minimum age 21.
• Physically fit (must pass Airside Driving Medical).
• Ability to read, write and have a good understanding of English (Several Exams During Training Period).
• Work under pressure yet maintaining high standards.
• Work as part of a team and follow instructions.
• Punctual and reliable.
• Must be able to work varied shift patterns.
• Must be able to provide a 5-year checkable reference.
