We are currently seeking a enthusiastic Hospitality Assistant to help support the say-to-day operation of the catering outlet at Bath Spa University.
About the Role
As a Hospitality Assistant you will deliver a professional and efficient service to a wide range of customers, whilst helping support our supervisor in delivering exceptional customer service. Your responsibilities will include preparing and serving food and beverages, operating the EPOS system, managing stock levels, receiving and storing food deliveries, responding to customer queries, and ensuring cleanliness in kitchen and service areas. As a key team member, you’ll assist with opening and closing procedures, contribute to month-end stock takes, and uphold our environmental and recycling policies. You will have a keen eye for detail, a passion for customer satisfaction, and will be ready to take on diverse responsibilities.
About You
You will have excellent customer service skills and will thrive under pressure while maintaining high standards. You will be a strong team player with the ability to work independently, and will be calm, presentable, and approachable at all times. Proficiency in written and spoken English is essential for effective communication with customers and following instructions from line managers. Experience in light food preparation, till operation, and cash handling is a plus. In addition, you will be flexible, have an understanding of health and safety in catering, and knowledge of allergens and dietary requirements.
Additional Information
£18,497 (This is a term time only position, 37 hrs per week, 36 weeks per year) – This includes Real Living allowance for 2023/24
