Job title: Housing Inspection Readiness Manager ( Local Government)

Job description: Interquest have a need for an experienced Housing Consultant with ideally a background of working within a local authority setting .The council’s Housing Services are high profile and vital to maintaining and enhancing the city council’s reputation. Key areas of the role are as follows;

  • Work collaboratively and compassionately with Officers and Leaders across Housing and other corporate and third-party services to lead by example in driving and delivering a culture of excellence in responding to resident needs.
  • Lead on the implementation of key strategies, policies, procedures, and processes that demonstrate compliance with statutory obligations including inspection readiness by the Social Housing Regulator and compliance with the Complaint Handling Codes.
  • Maintain oversight of the inspection frameworks leading on planning to effectively project manage and provide support during any inspection.
  • Ensure that gap analysis against the current draft consumer standards is completed robustly, and evidence of compliance is gathered and recorded in a systematic way.
  • Develop and maintain an action plan which sets out how the organisation will achieve compliance with all aspects of the consumer standards, as well as setting out activities that lead to a high performing service with a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Develop and prepare routine reporting on progress against preparation for regulation activity including against the Tenant Satisfaction Measures and other relevant performance data.
  • Ensure the organisation is prepared for the inspection regime by taking an open and transparent approach, and embedding regulation work within service delivery so that improvement work is co-ordinated and aligned with Service, Directorate and Organisational priorities.
  • Drive improvements in cross-departmental working by taking a flexible approach which uses strong leadership skills to build relationships, sharing and learning from good practice, and co-creating policies and procedures that will deliver a consistently fair and equitable service for residents.
