Job Description
Our Senior Quality Control and Audit Manager is looking to recruit a knowledgeable and experienced Hub / Logistics Quality Control and Audit Manager to join their Hub Process Team. In this role you will also closely liaise with General Managers and Hub Managers of each hub/logistics, as well as engaging with the managers on the shop floor.
You will be expected to audit a variety of hub/logistics processes to ensure they are in line with our Safe Systems of Work, SOPs and HOPs, and will be producing reports on potential areas of improvement. They will also assist on the implementation of new processes, as well as liaising with the hub analyst team to keep track of hub KPIs related to all kinds of hub processes.
Liaise with the Hub & Logistics Training team as well as the Health and Safety department, to review current process standards and ensure that they still sit in line with a safe and efficient working environment in the hub/logistics.
Communicate with account managers regarding potential requests or issues identified with a specific customer, and work together to find a solution that satisfies the hub quality standards.
Travel between all sites, as well as working some night shifts will be a requirement in this role
Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility
- To audit different hub/logistics processes in accordance to the Safe Systems of Work and Hub operating procedures/Logistics operating procedures.
- To liaise with different key stakeholders regarding potential issues and proposed improvements that have an effect on the hub/logistics quality.
- To frequently review and propose changes to HOPs/LOPs to ensure they sit in line with current hub processes and quality requirements.
- To assist in the implementation of new hub processes, and monitor accordance of these with the hub quality expectations.
- To liaise with business analysts as well as using business tools to monitor different KPIs that have a direct impact on hub quality.
- To liaise with account managers regarding potential issues with a specific customer that may affect hub quality standards.
- Coaching, guiding & motivating employees in developing continuous improvement using the tools of Lean Six Sigma
- Monitoring, reviewing and where necessary improving compliance on external ISO audits, Health & Safety audits, Environmental audits and internal audits.
- To review hub liquid requests, ensuring submitted packaging meets our company guidelines.
- Coordinate Bi-monthly reviews with site General managers and Hub managers of raised audit actions. Assisting with identifying root causes to raised actions, and preventing recurrence.
- Suggest new ways of working and look for continuous improvement.
- To advise and guide both office and operations based employees in the development of continuous improvement by identifying ‘focus’ areas.
- Visit other hub/logistics sites once a month and conduct an audit against the agreed audit schedule.
- Complete monthly Hub & Logistics Quality Bulletin updates.
- Coordinate with other sites and departments and share learnings and potential risks with the different interested parties.
Key Measures of Performance
- Ensure processes are accurately reflected and adhered to in the Safe Systems of Work, HOPs & LOPs.
- Improve and maintain Hub/Logistics Quality audit scores by supporting the operational teams in identifying root causes to raised actions.
- Driving continuous improvement whilst supporting safe working practices as well as operational efficiencies.
- Ensure all liquid damages are reviewed to prevent damage to packaging and/or operational equipment.
- Achieve Health & Safety audit according to Hub company target
- Ensure full compliance with all relevant external ISO audits.
