Job description: The role
We are currently looking for an HR Advisor to join our established team at Oxford City Council. This is a part time position working up to 23 hours per week. We can be flexible about how you work these hours (whether over 3,4 or 5 days a week).In this role you will coach and advise managers across the organisation on a range of employee relations cases including absence management, poor performance, organisational change, disciplinaries and grievances. You will attend formal meetings, advise on employment law, policy, procedures, and best practice to ensure we consistently do the right thing by our staff.You’ll also have an opportunity to shape our future policies and processes through the review and update of our core employment policy documents as well as getting involved in project work across the HR function.We are looking for HR professionals who have experience in advising on core people policies, reviewing and updating policies in line with UK legislation and who have previously liaised with Trade Union or Employee Representative Groups on employment matters.The People team at Oxford City Council are dedicated to ensuring that our representation not only reflects the communities we serve, but also our diverse workforce.
