Responsibilities / Position overview
We are seeking a human resources professional to join our dedicated HR team. The Human Resource Business Partner is a commercial and strategically minded professional who works with business leaders to shape, develop and deliver people-focused plans and solutions that support the overall business strategy and priorities. This position forms strong partnerships across the business and within the HR function in order to deliver value-added service that reflects business objectives.
As the HR BP working within our Asset Optimization and Commercialization practice area of Lumanity, your focus will be on our UK and EU based Consulting group.
Essential functions of this role include but are not limited to:
HR Strategy
- Show strong understanding of Global and Practice Area elements of the global HR strategy, to determine and steer priorities, offer recommendations and make decisions that fit the needs of the Capability or OpCo in question
- Lead Capability-specific strategic HR priorities, to ensure fit-for-purpose processes are delivered, including:
- Ensuring Reward and Recognition practices are in line with the business’ strategy for Total Reward, including salary benchmarking, salary reviews and bonus structures
- Supporting the global commitment to performance management, advising managers within the local operations on best practice
- Facilitating the Talent Management processes, including ensuring formalized job role profiles, promotion processes and competency frameworks that meet best practice standards
- Identifying and facilitating the implementation of Learning Plans
- Identifying key Retention trends, seeking solutions as required
- Work closely with the HR global practice leaders, Capability Presidents and relevant leadership teams to develop business-specific strategy and best practice processes that support the business’ needs
- Identify HR priorities from business plans, translate business requirements into effective HR practices that can be delivered within the business – being seen as the connector between the Business and HR
HR Function Management
- Be a highly visible HR leader and focal point for HR excellence within companies, providing guidance and supporting the leadership teams and senior management teams within each business
- Effectively serve as a coach to business leaders
- Participate in developing HR team goals, objectives and systems
Employee Relations
- Support Line Managers in the day-to-day management of their personnel and teams
- Maintain ownership of all Employee Relations cases within the Capability, guiding and coaching the HR team members and Line Managers as necessary
- Manage Capability-related organisational changes (for example, restructures, redundancies etc.)
People Data Analysis
- Analyse monthly People data, report on trends and determine / implement solutions as appropriate (for e.g. the New Joiners Survey, Turnover reports, Exit Interview information etc.)
HRIS
- Own the HRIS information for your business area, ensuring information is entered accurately and kept up to date
Legal Infrastucture
- Maintain expertise in compliance with federal/state/local employment and benefits laws and regulations
- Deliver HR policies in line with current legislation and best practice
- Stay attuned to emerging legal changes, maintain up to date knowledge and highlight to team where needed
Qualifications
- 5 years + of experience working in a Human Resources Business Partner or Generalist capacity
- Experience of working in a Consulting firm or environment will be given preference
- CIPD certification preferred
- Flexible, deadline oriented, and ability to work as part of a multifunctional team.
- Ability to think critically and back up all recommendations with sound judgement and data.
- Maintains a professional attitude, even in challenging situations.
- Self-motivated and driven to deliver people results.
- Effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
- Demonstrates discretion, able to work with sensitive and confidential materials and possess good business judgment.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, while also able to manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to evaluate, interpret and analyze both written and verbal communications.
- Ability to adapt to rapid changes and expectations in office environment.

- Previous experience of line management would be beneficial
- Proven experience of translating business strategy into HR goals, and then into relevant actions as required by the business
