Job description: The International Centre for Advanced Materials (ICAM) is a partnership between bp and selected globally leading universities to enable the effective application of advanced materials for the transition to net zero. With its Hub and a research spoke at The University of Manchester, the Institute has spokes at three further Partner organisations: the Universities of Cambridge, Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, and Imperial College London.We are seeking a Digital Communications Manager to develop and implement a comprehensive digital communications strategy for ICAM, ensuring this is aligned to the Institute’s wider vision and mission via its agreed values, see https://www.icam-online.org/about/. The role will manage and oversee the strategic use of all ICAM digital channels and assets and have complete accountability for ICAM’s website, including delivering an immediate project to refresh this.This is a fantastic opportunity for a self-starter, with significant experience in fast-paced marketing and communications environment, who has experience of the whole marketing spectrum and able to hit the ground running. We are looking for someone with the confidence and capabilities to engage senior stakeholders; with the energy and dynamism to develop and implement campaigns that support ICAM’s strategic goals; and the ambition to make this role their own. It would be advantageous for the applicant to have a keen interest in low carbon energy and advanced materials.We are entirely flexible with relation to offering this role as Part-time / Full-time / non-standard working hours as necessary with a minimum requirement of 2.5 days per week (to enable a job share). The ICAM also operates a hybrid working pattern with an ambition of two days in the office and three working at home most weeks, though again this can be flexed and discussed further at interview as necessary to accommodate an individual’s personal circumstances.What you will get in return:
