Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and comprehensive Physical Education lessons following the school’s curriculum standards, preparing students for assessments and future athletic challenges.
- Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities, enabling each student to excel.
- Emphasise the real-world applications of physical education knowledge, fostering critical thinking and analytical skills in students.
- Regularly assess student progress, offering constructive feedback to support their athletic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that ignites a passion for physical education, promoting respectful behaviour among students.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Sports Science, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
- Teaching certification in Physical Education.
- PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
- Proven experience teaching Physical Education at the secondary level.
- Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
- Ability to teach Key Stage 3, with Key Stage 4 as an additional qualification.
