Job description: Morson Talent have a great opportunity for a Logistics Controller to join us on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will be based onsite at RNAS Yeovilton and will be responsible for the progressing and reviewing of all operational related state demands for Yeovilton based CHF Merlin aircraft embarked or detached including as an LFP if required.

DUTIES:

  • Provide a demands input and processing service in support of embarked or detached CHF Merlin and act as LFP if required.
  • Monitor, maintain and manage the signal system for CHF EMBAV, processing incoming and outgoing signals respective to appropriate ‘In Scope’ demands.
  • Liaise with ASCO to ensure all checks are carried out to ascertain if assets demanded are correct or alternatives found.
  • Liaise with REPMAN to ensure all R2 assets are investigated as a solution prior to demand being passed to IMOS SLICT.
  • Liaise with IMOS SLICT to progress ‘In Scope’ assets that are inability, controlled or R&O to actively meet RDD.
  • To ensure an ASDER is created for all CHF EMBAV demands with feedback and delivery forecasts updated and passed back to the demanding unit.
  • Update the SCOC Spreadsheet
  • Provide a daily brief to the Logistics Manager on all outstanding ASDER demands.
  • Vet demands to ensure each demand has the correct NATO Stock Number and part Number.
  • To assist in the progression of high priority demands and to ensure demands are hastened to ensure RDDs are achieved.
  • To ensure demands are given the correct priority code, state caveat and RDD.
  • Operate all IT systems relevant to the role
  • Establish good working relationships with each of the RNAS Yeovilton Merlin Squadrons

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Highly developed problem-solving abilities and the ability to apply them in a support environment.
  • Have a sound knowledge of the Customers organisation structure, processes and procedures.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Merlin aircraft and its systems.
  • Have a working knowledge of the Material Supply process from Supplier to Customer in relation to the Merlin helicopter.
  • Be an excellent communicator with the ability to interface with all levels of the Authority and industry daily including the confidence to lead joint Industry / Customer / Supplier meetings and teams.
  • Be PC literate with a working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Have excellent interpersonal skills with experience of working on and managing across, multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Be adaptable and flexible to the changing needs of a Service Delivery environment.
  • Working knowledge of the company organisation and operating procedures for business, commercial, finance, technical and procurement.
