Job description: Full or part time position for an award-winning private healthcare group seeking an additional lawyer to join their in-house legal team.Responsibilities:

  • Reporting into the General Counsel you will be handling a broad mix of work including contentious and non-contentious matters which will include contractual disputes and complains. 50% of work will involve disputes and the remainder commercial contracts, company secretarial and data protection matters
  • Assisting with the termination of contracts with other businesses
  • Chasing the non-payment of fees, sometimes through the county courts
  • Providing advice to the procurement team in regard to general contracts and commercial matters
  • Assisting with the processing of data requests and company secretarial matters
  • Overseeing property matters

We are looking for:

  • You will be a qualified solicitor in England and Wales and have 2 years + PQE*
  • You will have experience of handling contract disputes and debt recovery
  • Ideally experienced dealing with debt collection through county court actions
  • Additional experience in commercial matters would be a benefit
  • Knowledge of the healthcare sector is a benefit but not essential
