Job Description

We are looking for outstanding candidates to deliver the next generation of financial technology innovations as part of the Inclusive Financial Technology (INFINITY) Hub at the University of Nottingham. The INFINITY hub is a new development by the university, initially funded by the Research England Connecting Capabilities Fund. The role will be responsible for supporting the development of ideas for application of research and development in financial services. Working as part of a team to translate these into commercial prospects, you will sustain and pursue a commercialisation plan in the areas of financial technology and financial services. Where appropriate, you will develop and win support for innovative research and knowledge exchange development proposals and funding bids.

The role holder will take the lead on, plan, develop and conduct individual and/or collaborative development/test and validation projects and proposals either as an individual or as part of a broader commercialisation programme. This will include acquiring, analysing, interpreting, and evaluating findings/data using approaches, techniques, models and methods selected or developed for the purpose.

The role holder will also communicate complex and conceptual ideas to those with limited knowledge and understanding as well as to peers, using high level skills and a range of media.

This role is available on a fixed term contract until 31 August 2025. Hours of work are full-time (36.25 hours); however, applications are also welcome from candidates wishing to work part-time (minimum 29 hours per week). Please specify in your application if you wish to work part time and the number of preferred hours. Arrangements for job share may be considered.
