Job description: Our client is one of the world’s leading and most well established Private Equity firms. An excellent opportunity to be the No.2 in a sizeable fund accounting team. The role will require assisting the Head of Fund Accounting in all day-to-day operations, including overseeing the team and output, signing off on investor reporting and notices, analysis for stakeholders across the business and payment releases. This role is for a 12 month period.The Role
- Manage Senior Fund Controllers and equivalents, and their respective teams that make up the Fund Accounting function
- Coordinating deal closings, investor reporting, notices and ad-hoc projects
- Overseeing the audit relationship and timetables
- Coordinating the submission of the valuations, reviewing each valuation in detail to understand each of them and provide critical review comments back to the investment team
- Produce materials for the valuation committee and assist with analysing the numbers to project fund metrics
- Liaising and overseeing NAVs produced by Fund Controllers as part of the process
- Drive change, efficiency and process improvement across Fund Operations
- Managing relationships with the firm’s private equity banking panel
- Negotiating and executing new and existing bridge facilities across the private equity funds
- Working with the firm’s FX advisors to roll and execute new hedges
- Monitoring all key deadlines for new facilities and renewals
- Working closely with legal advisers and relevant boards to execute documents
- Oversee the production of analytical data to support the CIO and CFO as required
- Close relationship with IR on all fund numbers / metrics
- Providing input to investor due diligence requests and other IR presentations
Requirements
- You will be a highly experienced qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
- Private Equity fund accounting/control background
- Likely to have managed staff/teams previously
- Experience of valuations and calculating fund level metrics
- Able to commence a role in the next month or two
