An exciting opportunity has become available for an Interim Head of Financial Accounts to join a prestigious NHS organisation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for overseeing financial operations.
- Assist with the preparation and production of year-end accounts.
- Lead and inspire a dedicated team of financial professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
- Oversee the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and NHS standards.
- Coordinate and manage financial audits, liaising with external auditors to ensure a smooth and successful audit process.
- Develop and implement financial policies and procedures, staying abreast of changes in accounting standards and NHS financial regulations.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
- Extensive experience in financial accounts within the NHS ideally gained working in an ICB or CCG.
- Strong knowledge of NHS financial regulations and standards.
- Excellent team management and communication skills.
- Proven ability to drive financial performance and enhance organisational efficiency.
Expected salary: £350 – 400 per day
