The Interim Warehouse Manager will report into the Head of Logistics on a daily basis and be responsible for the following areas of the Leicester site:

  • Daily management of 15-20 colleagues, rising to 30 during peak.
  • Basis managerial responsibility such as return to work, appraisals, absence management
  • Based upon one of the key warehousing sections, i.e. inbound, outbound, pick & pack, replenishment or e-commerce.
  • Responsible for all health & safety across site and promoting a safe atmosphere in which to work.
  • Colleague engagement is at the forefront of the business, thus you will be expected to promote a healthy environment.
  • Responsible for all training, development and coaching of their team.
  • Joint responsibility for continuous improvement within the warehouse such as GEMBA walks and Kaizen events.

The successful Interim Warehouse Manager will be based in Leicester and embody the following experience / skills:

  • 3+ years experience in Warehouse Team Management, Supervision and / or Warehouse Management.
  • Strong background of knowledge in warehousing and logistics
  • Proven track record of leading teams of 15+ colleagues.
  • IOSH or NEBOSH is desirable, but not essential.
  • Any history of CI or Kaizen would be advantageous but not essential.
  • Commutable to Leicester

This family-run business has been operational for 89 years and is rapidly expanding their e-commerce and store offerings to the market. Due to the incumbent leaving the business for maternity, we are actively seeking a candidate to fulfil a minimum of a 12 month obligation. The business turnovers in excess of 131 million, expanding up 9% YoY!
