About The Role

We are delighted to share that we are growing our team once more and now are looking for a dedicated IT Contracts specialist to join our Group IT team. The Group IT team is focused on providing business applications, SaaS Solutions, Infrastructure and services which are supported, stable and streamlined to enable Ocado employees and teams to work in a clear, controlled and cost effective manner. This role’s primary objective is to work across Ocado to ensure that best value as well as on-time delivery ( performance ) is received for all products and services purchased and also to drive the maturity of the supplier management lifecycle.

What you will be doing :

  • Managing an ongoing workload of agreements
  • Reviewing, drafting and negotiating clauses in commercial contracts using legal knowledge and experience also using templates and playbooks provided by the legal team
  • Proven experience dealing with licensing agreements, content agreements, software development contracts, SaaS agreements, SLA agreements, or e-commerce agreements, services and consulting agreements,.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure third-party vendors adhere to GDPR requirements in contracts and appropriate Data Protection Agreements are in place with appropriate suppliers
  • Assist in the implementation for all matters in relation to information security and compliance with data protection and privacy regulations
  • Preparing and checking legal documents for quality, consistency and content
  • Cooperate with the legal team to implement latest data privacy materials (including templates and playbooks)
  • Proof reading and summarising legal documents
  • Reviewing contracts and policy documents
  • Working on general administrative tasks throughout the Procurement team
  • Running and Assisting with the tendering process

About you

  • Demonstrable experience of directly managing suppliers, negotiating contracts and ensuring the best commercial value is achieved.
  • A strong understanding of IT purchasing across Hardware and Software (perpetual and SaaS)
  • Understanding of Sensitive Data and appropriate agreements where such data is processed
  • Personable, with the ability to work well within a team environment and build relationships
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritise workload
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Self-starter who can work autonomously
  • Ability to problem solve
  • Ability to understand business needs and have a commercial approach to issues
  • Comfortable using a variety of IT software
