If so, this role is for you.Our IT Delivery Manager is a hands-on, sleeves-rolled-up kind of job, taking personal responsibility for grip and pace on small-to-medium sized IT and digital projects which need strong coordination without requiring a full project-management service. From Line of Business System upgrades and replacements to delivering operational technology for hybrid and remote meetings, you’ll be making sure we get the job done.Working within our Digital Strategy and Transformation service, you’ll be at the heart of the council’s central corporate IT department, with day-to-day access to experts across digital, data and technology fields – so whilst you’ll be at the front-line of delivering projects and initiatives, you won’t be doing it alone.We are looking for a dynamic and delivery focused individual who can solve problems and set a high pace whilst also staying organised and keeping a good grip on governance. Pragmatism will be your watch-word – getting us to a good outcome whilst striking the right balance between risk and reward.There is no such word as ‘just’ when it comes to IT projects, so you will need to demonstrate a strong track record of delivery in a real-world environment. Making a plan is one thing, but adapting to reality and making sure it delivers is another. You’ll be adept at this and equally skilled at communicating and influencing a wide range of stakeholders to help achieve your outcomes.
