The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficient operation of our desktop infrastructure, providing essential technical support to our employees, and contributing to the overall productivity of our organisation.
We are ideally looking for somebody who can start with the team in January 2024.

We also have on-site parking facilities and are a short walk from the train station.
The Role
This is an exciting time to join Phoebus as the company are experiencing significant growth, in result of that our operations team are recruiting for 3 new additional members to their team. The operations team consists of 27 members so there is a lot of room for growth and progression within this team and we are devoted to progressing and supporting people within their careers.
The responsibilities of the role include:
- Providing first / second line support to end-users, resolving hardware and software issues promptly and effectively.
- Hardware maintenance such as: Diagnose, repair, and maintain desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
- General software Support Install, configure, and troubleshoot operating systems, applications, and software updates.
- User Account Management: Create, modify, and terminate user accounts, email, and access permissions as per company policies.
- Network Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing network connectivity issues, including LAN and VPN configurations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of support requests, solutions, and inventory
- Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with IT security policies, including antivirus, firewall, and data protection measures.
- Remote Support: Provide remote support to off-site and remote employees as required.
- Hardware and Software Procurement: Assist in the procurement and inventory management of IT assets.
- User Training: Provide user training and guidance on IT-related matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies in desktop support services.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with the Operations team to resolve complex technical issues and contribute to IT projects as needed.
About you
We are ideally looking for somebody with two years’ experience working in an IT Support position or similar. It is key to have previous experience working with external clients/suppliers and be able to demonstrate experience with troubleshooting principles, methodologies, and issue resolution techniques.
It is essential that you have knowledge and experience in the following areas: Microsoft Windows 10 Office 365 Administration, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, Remote desktop and remote assistance tools, Image Deployment, Software Deployment, Backup Technologies, Anti-Virus Technologies and PowerShell.
