We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Retail Project Manager with a focus on IT implementation to drive tangible change and enhance the experience for both our retail colleagues and customers. This role requires agility in planning and overseeing retail-facing change programs, working closely with global retail leadership teams to implement new capabilities, redesign existing processes, and execute system design changesWhat you’ll be doing:RETAIL IMPLEMENTATION:
- Engage, challenge, and influence stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of operational projects and initiatives.
- Lead retail projects from conception to delivery, serving as the point of contact for new initiatives.
- Facilitate the definition of project scope, goals, and deliverables, documented in project briefs and initiation documentation.
- Maintain a structured approach to project management, ensuring strategic initiatives meet time, quality, and cost expectations.
- Develop business cases in collaboration with central and retail field teams.
- Identify and communicate risks, issues, dependencies, and blockers.
- Drive projects through to implementation, managing and resolving issues with the project team or escalating when necessary.
- Deliver projects within budget and work to agreed set project timelines.
- Stay informed about retail trends and contribute new projects to the pipeline.
- Responsible for weekly updates of the Retail Project Plan.
- Collaborate with the Retail Operations Manager and Head of Retail Operations to align activities with business priorities and workload capacity.
STORE OPERATING PROCEDURES:
- Write and update new Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to replace or update existing processes.
- Seek retail feedback on processes regularly to prioritize updates.
IT DEVELOPMENT:
- Brief and prioritize Retail and Point of Sale + OMS IT Development work.
- Communicate updates/progress on IT Development initiatives to Retail stakeholders.
- Management of project trials, outlining objectives and measuring/ reporting outcomes
- Develop project cascade and implementation comms to both upskill and gain buy in for new business initiatives
- Review and propose new platform-based comms tool for shops and HQ
DATA-DRIVEN DECISIONS:
- Utilize data, customer insight, and market analysis to plan and identify new opportunities.
BUSINESS PARTNERING:
- Partner with the Retail leadership team and senior management, capturing opportunities, setting expectations, and providing frequent progress updates.
- Manage relationships with third parties.
LEADERSHIP:
- Lead and motivate the Retail Implementation team, ensuring objectives are met, individuals grow, and succession plans are in place.
What you’ll need:
- Experience in a retail head office environment, ideally within Retail Operations or implementing projects/change management.
- Experience in implementing change across UK & international markets.
- Strong IT skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office programs (especially PowerPoint and Excel).
- Previous experience with OMS or equivalent RFID stock management system
- Proven launch and implementation of Omni channel solutions, such as OIS, FFS and Clienteling.
- Confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to challenge the status quo with relevant data and feedback.
- High attention to detail and proofing skills.
- Solutions-focused and innovative.
- Excellent knowledge of the retail sector, strong commercial awareness, and customer focus.
