Applause IT are looking for an IT Security Engineer with slid experience to join a rapidly scaling travel business.

As the IT Security Engineer, you will have a diverse range of responsibilities related to data security assurance and technology ownership. Your primary focus will be on implementing and continuously enhancing the network and system controls for various frameworks, with key emphasis on PCI DSS. Additionally, you will lead technical aspects of security operations, oversee incident management, and play a vital role in proactive risk management.

The successful IT Security Engineer will have knowledge of the following:

  • Proven experience as an established InfoSec professional.
  • Relevant degree or sector-specific qualification.
  • Track record of managing information security/data privacy programs.
  • Strong technical skills, including secure architecture, development, and SOC experience.
  • Previous experience with ISO, Cyber Essentials, and PCI DSS certifications.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying complex information in long-form documents or executive summaries.
  • Confident speaker and presenter.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills, with recent management experience (line and functional).
  • Proactive and skilled at managing competing priorities.
  • Ability to influence senior colleagues, peers, and junior staff.
