Job description: IT Service Management Consultant – £40,000 – £55,000, SC clearance required – South West England

FryerMiles are delighted to be partnering with a defence consultancy who are on the lookout for an IT Service Manager (Consultant) to join their team on a permanent basis.

Role Summary

The ITSM consultant will be responsible for working alongside clients and partners to provide knowledge and experience from across the service lifecycle whether that be transitioning or maintaining live services.

You will work with Customers, Projects, 3rd Parties and key stakeholders, ensuring that the client’s requirements are understood and fulfilled. Using knowledge of ITSM best practice you will work with our clients to create or improve processes and procedures, ensuring these add value to the client’s business.

Ideal candidates will possess ITIL certification and have experience working with ITSM policy, procedure and process. You should be an excellent communicator and capable of working in high pressure, challenging environments.

Core Skills:

  • ITIL Foundation qualified V3 or above
  • Experience implementing ITIL based practices (Incident, Problem etc)
  • Demonstrable experience working within an ITSM environment using the ITIL framework
  • Knowledge of ITSM governance, e.g. Change Advisory Boards (CABs)
  • Demonstrable experience with ITSM tooling
  • Experience delivering Continual Service Improvement
  • Understanding of customer management / service experience
  • Must have excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational), showing tact, effective listening skills and present and defend points of view to a variety of audiences
  • Good organisational skills plus the ability to motivate people across an organisation to provide solutions
  • Candidate must be a team player and be able to follow processes and procedures
  • The suitable candidate must have or be expected to achieve Security Clearance
  • Ability to travel to client sites

Expected salary: £55000 per year
