AmWorld is a professional and friendly Global Logistics and Courier solution provider based in Colnbrook since 1983. We assist our clients with any challenge they may face in our industry, such as event management or bulk distributions.Overview:
We are looking for an IT Associate with a keen interest in various areas of technology, from Windows desktop support such as printer or Microsoft Office issues, to CCTV, IP Phone, and ID Card systems.
They will also be responsible for some address data cleansing for bulk shipment imports, which will be taught over the first few months.We operate out of 2 main sites in Colnbrook which are a 3min drive apart, the IT Associate must be able to support both sites, though usually remote management will be possible from their desk.Salary:
£18,000 – £20,000 per annum.Responsibilities:
To be the 1st point of contact for user incident reports, to log incidents into the ticketing system and attempt to resolve user issues such as:
- Printers
- Microsoft Office
- Network drives
- ID cards
- Passwords/PINs
- Windows Profile setup
To escalate more complicated incidents and keep users updated of incident progress.
To learn and assist with bulk address data imports; Excel/CSV data manipulation.
To assist with larger technical projects where appropriate such as the deployment of new services.Goals:
The IT Associate will work towards taking day-to-day ownership of the following systems:
- Microsoft 365 Exchange
- CCTV
- Cloud Phone System
- Ticketing system
- NAS Network shares
Development:
This role provides an opportunity to learn about more advanced technologies from and experienced engineer. Training may also be available, depending on interest and business needs.What we are looking for:

Preferred experience:
General enthusiasm towards IT/Computing. Either experience of 1st/2nd Line IT environments or examples of personal IT projects.Entry requirements:
- 3 GCSE’s (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme.
