Job description: About the role:We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Support Technician to join an innovative healthcare company with a head office based in Belfast.Are you a Microsoft wizard? Do you love a challenge?The individual who can say “Yes” to all of these and is patient, positive, and focused is someone we would love to talk to.The successful candidate will have 1+ years IT experience and will support the IT Department to achieving targets and the provision of a comprehensive IT support service.Main Responsibilities:

  • Serving as the first point of contact for IT support within the organisation to ensure all support tickets are closed as quickly as possible to the satisfaction of the customer within the SLA.
  • Diagnosing and troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Ensuring the security of company and server computers by installing and upgrading antivirus and firewall software
  • Supporting people whenever they encounter challenges with computers and network devices
  • Testing new hardware and software before full-scale installation
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining software and hardware components of computer and network systems specifically Windows 10/11

Skills & Experience:

  • A relevant HNC qualification e.g. computing/Microsoft /other system certification or equivalent
  • 2 years relevant experience supporting and troubleshooting IT systems, software/ hardware, Microsoft operating systems, back office applications and network technologies
  • Minimum of 1 year working in a help desk / support focused role
  • Customer focused with excellent problem-solving skills
  • Good organisation skills and ability to work on own initiative and prioritise workload

Desirable Criteria:

  • A current full driving licence and access to a suitable form of transport
  • Knowledge of cyber security standards

Work Remotely

  • Up to 2 days per week

Job Type: Full-timeSalary: From £24,000.00 per yearSchedule:

  • Monday to Friday 9am-5pm (flexible working between 8am-6pm)

Expected salary: £24000 per year
