What to Expect:
- Location: Redditch
- Flexibility: While based in Redditch, occasional outside-of-business-hours work may be required (planned in advance and kept to a minimum).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line telephone and desk-side support.
- Escalate IT requests and coordinate support activities, interfacing with third parties when necessary.
- Set up new users, ensuring the correct provision of IT equipment.
- Administer user and computer accounts, ensuring accuracy and managing obsolete or unused accounts.
- Escalate user complaints to the appropriate channels.
- Coordinate end-user device replacement activities, scheduling downtime when necessary.
- Prepare technical documentation, including schematics, risk matrices, and replacement plans.
- Create user documentation such as IT bulletins, user guides, and helpful tips.
- Provide reports on service desk activities as required.
