We are currently looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join a leading Financial Services organisation based in Pontefract.

The IT Support Technician will be responsible for providing effective IT support and assistance to the organisation, working closely with the IT Manager and other technical staff in an efficient and professional manner.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support and assistance to staff on IT related issues
  • Respond to technical queries in a timely manner
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose IT problems
  • Install, configure and maintain hardware and software
  • Manage IT systems and networks
  • Monitor and maintain IT systems
  • Provide training and support to staff on use of IT systems
  • Identify and implement IT solutions to improve efficiency
  • Ensure IT security and data protection
  • Liaise with external IT vendors and suppliers
  • Maintain IT records and documentation
  • Ensure IT compliance with industry standards and regulations

Technical Skills

  • Knowledge of Windows operating systems
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • Experience with hardware and software installation
  • Knowledge of network security
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Azure and Office 365
  • Understanding of IT security protocols
  • Knowledge of cloud computing
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
