GSL Education is currently supporting a local school in Ringwood in the pursuit of a dynamic and dedicated full-time Arts teacher. Although the school is mainstream secondary, you may still be supporting students with Special Education Needs on a 1:1 or small group basis. Therefore, any previous experience or knowledge of SEN is extremely desirable.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in line with the school’s curriculum standards, ensuring students are well-prepared for assessments and future academic challenges.
• Implement differentiated teaching strategies to accommodate diverse learning styles and abilities within the classroom, providing each student with the opportunity to excel.
• Emphasise real-world applications of artistic principles, utilising hands-on activities and cutting-edge resources to make Arts relevant and captivating for students.
• Regularly assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Collaborate with colleagues to analyse assessment data and refine teaching practices.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters a love for artistic expression, promoting respectful behaviour among students.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Arts, Education, or a related field; a Master’s degree is a plus.
• Teaching certification in Arts.
• PGCE/QTS/QTLS.
• Proven experience teaching Arts at the secondary level.
• Familiarity with and commitment to the principles of the school’s curriculum.
